Three Year Old gelding by Robin de la Maison

Standing 16h3 this stunning chestnut gelding is by the thoroughbred stallion Robin De La Maison (TB) (Robin Des Champs (TB) X Allegoric (TB)) who was, according to his owners the Lamberts in Grange Co Wexford,  “firmly aimed at breeders who wanted to produce future event horses”.

Robin De La Maison (TB) who goes all the way back to back to the great Derby winner Mill Reef (TB) (who won twelve of his fourteen races and finished second in the other two) unfortunately died in 2014 before being able to fulfil his promising potential. He had already shown a natural ability to jump himself and his progeny, who are predominantly three year olds, have all shown excellent movement and good looks.

His dam is Killinick Power by Power Blade out of Paris Clover by Paris Lights by Alme. Power Blade was described by Oliver Townend (British Event Rider) as “the ultimate thoroughbred sire for quality and performance with super confirmation and temperament”. Alme of course is acknowledged as one of the all time great stallions of Europe.  Kief Reuben’s  great grand dam is Coolmore Clover by the famous Clover Hill.

This three year old stands over a lot of ground and has extravagant movement, including a long walk , dressage quality trot and an athletic canter. Although being 7/8 thoroughbred he has an outstanding temperament and plenty of bone. He was placed first in The Gain Colt Foal All Ireland Championship Final in 2014 in Ballinasloe and over the course of the last three years has won several show classes around Ireland including Supreme Champion in Cappamore last year. He competed in the RDS as a two year old and was placed 4^th in a large and highly competitive two year old class.

In terms of future potential this horse has the ability to perform at the highest level in any of the Olympic disciplines given the opportunity. A beautifully modern bred, quality, athletic gelding, carefully handled and ready to take the next step to fulfilling his performance potential.
