Hendrix IIG – Colt foal born 13th May 2017, by top Showjumping sire Balou du Rouet out of Knightfield Mena (Touchdown x Irco Mena x Bahrain).
Knightfield Mena is a full sister to Nations Cup showjumper Touchable, who was ridden by Great Britain’s Jessie Drea.
A full brother to Knightfield Mena is the stallion Mullaghdrin Touch the Stars who has also jumped up to Nations Cup level with Jessie Drea.
Knightfield Mena is also a half sister to the International Showjumper Mullaghdrin Gold Rain who competed up to Nations Cup level with Shane Breen jumping double clear for Ireland in Lisbon CSIO4* in 2010.
At National level, showjumping half siblings of Knightield Mena include Castellar and Winter Cruise in Ireland as well as Peninsula Sky Cruiser who competed in the US and Canada.
Touchdown, represented Ireland in Showjumping at the 1992 Olympic Games in Barcelona with James Kernan. Touchdown is the sire of Liscalgot, 2002 World Champion in Jerez ridden by Ireland’s Dermott Lennon.
Under Royne Zetterman Irco Mena represented Sweden at Nations Cup and World Cup level. Irco Mena is the sire of Nations Cup showjumpers including Irco Sun (Malin Baryard Johnsson)and Sultan V (Abdullah Al Sharbatly) – Team Bronze medalist at the London Olympic Games 2012.
